Balance your diet

Some people just naturally eat a variety of healthy foods, including fruits and vegetables. Learning early about proper nutrition and wholesome eating habits can pay big dividends later on in our lives. As a mother I try to balance the food that we eat, I choose the right one for everybody. Balancing the food one eats with moderate physical activity can reduce the risk of some chronic diseases such as heart disease, diabetes, osteoporosis, high blood pressure and high cholesterol, to name a few. Recent scientific evidence shows that atherosclerosis or "clogging" of the arteries" begins in childhood and is related to early nutrition habits. You and your family can reduce cholesterol in your blood by eating foods low in saturated fat and cholesterol. Your doctor or nutritionist can help you customize a healthy diet and help you achieve your proper weight range. If supplements are needed, your pharmacist can assist you in choosing the right vitamins ans minerals.
