2010 cars for frugal buyers

Are you thinking of buying a so called green machine but the styles of the electric and hybrid cars just do not peak your interest? Well, I have news for you from a new car company called , Fisker Automotive started by Henrik Fisker a former BMW and Aston Martin designer. His first car is called the Fisker Karma. It is an extended range electric vehicle. The cool thing about this car is that it is a luxury four door sports sedan and I my opinion it looks awesome. So if an electric car is your future you might look into this one. There was no price but I would imagine it is going to be a little pricey.

If you are looking to buy a hybrid in the near future you might look in to the all new 2010 honda insight. It is a completely hybrid vehicle and is not related the insight that was discontinued in 2006. This car seats five and aimed at younger car buyers who a limited budget and are looking to save gas.

If you are looking for a small to midsized cross over then why not look into the the gmc terrain. As with all previous GMC models people will either love it or hate it. This vehicle can be purchased with an inline 4 cylinder boasting a gas mileage of 22/32 mpg and 182 horsepower or upgraded to a v6 with 7/24 mpg and 264-horsepower. The towing capability is much better with v6 than the four banger. Personally I would go with the v6 for the power when you need it.

Another hybrid that is the market and has been on the market for sometime now is the toyota prius. The 2010 model Prius has new features that might is more appealing to more buyers. The new engine is 1.8 liter instead of the 1.6 and now boasts 51 mpg city and 48 highway. It also a little better aerodynamics and goes from 0-60 in a mere 10 seconds. If functionality and not speed is what you looking for in a hybrid the the Prius is perfect for you.
