Our mailbox is secured in brick

Well, summer is over for all of those children out there returning to school, and I am sure many of us are grateful that some of the vandalism perpetrated by some of these individuals is over. Oh, but what destruction these uncontrolled youths can reek on our neighborhoods. Some of these vandals spray paint graffiti on walls and almost anything that solid. Others like to damage things that are a little bit easier to fix and that is the mailbox. I have heard of mailboxes being blow up by fire crackers left over from July fourth and other exploding holidays. Some even use vehicles to run them down and some even use the time old tradition of using the baseball bat and smashing them to pieces. I have heard of various ways in which people try to curtail this outlandish behavior by removing the mail box after the mail has been delivered. Some have even gone as far filling the mailbox with cement. You can imagine what hitting a mailbox filled with cement would do an arm and I can say that it probably does not feel like being tickled with a feather.

Fortunately for us our mailbox is encased in brick so it is safe from the dreaded baseball bat attack but not from being hit by a passing vehicle. Even though it would crumble at this attack it would do some damage to the vehicle that took it out. Even though we would probably never know who did it it is a small consolation that hopefully their parents would rip them a new one for causing damage to the car.

Getting a good education can keep us out of financial difficulties

In this fast paced highly technical world of ours a good education is almost essential for success. Yes some individuals are able to get by without it, but what are the chances that one of us will be that lucky. The chances are very slim to nil. So if we want to be able to care for ourselves and our families the best that we can then we need to get the education that we can. Whether it be online like Walden University or actually sitting at a desk and listening to a lecture or something else as long as it provides the knowledge that can get us to the top then it is good no mater what.

This goes for mothers as well. You never know what is going to happen to your spouse. He could become a vegetable because of illness or injury at work or even worse. Then where will you and family be if you can not provide for them. Up the creek without a paddle that is for sure. So take some time and get a good education now while you still have time. If nothing else just to set a good example for your l…

All in one park

Here in Dallas Fort Worth, where we live. There is a lot of amusement park entertainment you can visit to keep your children busy this summer.  As a mother of three active kids. I love to visit places where my kids can enjoy and learn new things. Since my kids love being outdoors, going to the different park is always in our top list.  In the summer, going to the waterpark is our past time. Just recently, we found a new park in our area, not too far from where we live.  The name of the park is Clayton W. Chandler Park which is located in Mansfield, TX.  My kids love this park because it has splash pad which runs from 10 am to 8pm in the summer for free! Their playground area has a mini obstacle which is great for kids ages 3-10. If you have a teenager who loves sports, they have 2 basketball half court, sand volleyball, tennis court, baseball field, skateboard plaza, 1/4 mile walking trail with fitness stations and a half-acre pond stocked for fishing. And most importantly their conc…
